The Parable of the Laborers in the Vineyard

Monday, December 26th, 2011

This morning, I was reading the Parable of the Laborers in the Vineyard, and “got” something I've never gotten before. It had a very profound effect on me, and thought I'd pass it along.

As the story goes, a man woke early in the morning to go hire workers for his vineyard. The first men he hired agreed to work for one penny per day. After those workers had been laboring for 3 hours, the man observed there were many still unemployed and standing around idle in the marketplace.  He hires the men and tells them to work in his vineyard and he would pay them what was right.

3 hours later, he hires more who were idle in the market, and 3 hours after that he hires some more, telling each to go work in his vineyard and he would pay them what was right.

At the 11th hour, he went again into the marketplace and saw that there were (more…)

7 Techniques to Silence Your Negative Inner Voice

Monday, November 8th, 2010

BrownEyedGirl asks:

“While you are working on your personal development, how did you deal with those negative internal tapes that creep in to try and break your spirit and break your progress?”

Fantastic question BrownEyedGirl. First, it's important to note that you are not alone. This is very, very typical. Even after experiencing many levels of successes and a grip of accomplishments, I still (more…)

How to Start Your Day Part Two

Saturday, October 23rd, 2010

A little while back, I wrote an article about How to Start Your Day which included a very powerful video. Then, a few weeks later I wrote a a two part artcile article (also in audio) about How to Use Affirmations. Both articles got good feedback, but I think you'll agree this video is better. Oh If we could all be like this, how awesome would life be?

You're going to love this video!! Please share it!

Positive Affirmations (Part 2 of 2)

Monday, October 4th, 2010

The response from Part 1 of Positive Affirmations was really good. If you've not read/listened to that article, be sure to do that before you read/listen to Part 2.

My beloved first mentor in the world of personal development, success and achievement, Mr. Jack Canfield, Co-Author of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series, teaches 8 guidelines for affirmations. I think they're great so I've listed them below. (more…)

Positive Affirmations (Part 1 of 2)

Monday, October 4th, 2010

Today's article and podcast is about positive affirmations; what they are, how to create them and how to use them to get what you want. I mentioned in my last video that my next article would be about how to reset your financial set point. That was my intention, but as I was writing it, I realized I needed to create a supplemental article, one on positive affirmations. The heart of the techniques I will describe to reset your financial set point will be positive affirmations. So, let's dive into that for a few minutes.

First, lets define affirmations. An affirmation is a (more…)

What Your Weight and Your Success Have in Common

Sunday, September 26th, 2010

When I launched this blog in July, I created a 4 part video series entitled The Silent Saboteur. I explained that self sabotage was the greatest cause of defeat in those who are passionately pursuing their dreams. How else could failure or mediocrity be explained when a person is totally committed to success, and is doing everything right, but remains at the same level year, after year, after year? (more…)

How to Start Your Day

Monday, August 23rd, 2010

Have you ever noticed that if something bad happens early in the morning, the rest of the day seems to be off? There's actually a scientific explanation for why this is. I won't go into great detail, but I do want to touch on it.

Everything is in constant movement or vibration and emits a frequency. It's pretty commonly known that a dog can sense fear. Fear is a frequency. If you are scared of the dog, the dog is scared of you because it can perceive your frequency of fear. Think about how a dog whistle works. When you blow it, you and I can only hear the sound of your breath being forced through the plastic. But a dog will be noticeably disrupted as it hears a very high pitched and even painful sound/vibration/frequency. Dogs can hear this frequency, humans can't. (more…)
